2021 Festival RFP Guidelines
O, Miami is currently accepting proposals for projects to occur during the next O, Miami Poetry Festival in April 2021.

The Festival
The virtual happy hour will feature Miami Book Fair Founder Mitchell Kaplan, Program Director Lissette Mendez, and other MBF staff talking books and revealing authors from this year’s program.
Dan Santat – award-winning children’s book author, illustrator, and creator of Disney’s animated series, “The Replacements” – will reveal this year’s commemorative poster.
Celebrate National Library Card Sign-up Month with us as we talk with renowned children's book author and illustrator, Rosemary Wells. Join us on Zoom as she reads her latest book, You Can Do It, Noisy Nora! After the reading, stay tuned for a special surprise. Space is limited. Making Good Time: True Stories of How We Do, and Don't, Get Around in South Florida, is an anthology of more than thirty Miami transit-related stories, edited by Lynne Barrett. 31 true transit stories by 32 award-winning South Florida writers. Join us for a conversation between six of the authors of Making Good Time.
Miriam King, Miami-based creative and Education Consultant, and Culture Shock Miami are seeking a cohort of courageous creatives who are ready and willing to participate in complex discussions addressing issues in today’s society, through an artistic lens. Participants will work towards social justice shape-shifting through the vehicles of arts advocacy and activism. Join us for a transformational summer as we seek positive, effective ways to REIMAGINE A PATH to post-racial society.
In light of recent events, MUCE (Miami Urban Contemporary Experience) will be holding a vigil for the three members of our community recently slain by terrorists.
Creation Art Center’s Viernes de Tertulia - now on its seventh season, are scheduled to take place on the third Friday of each month, and conducted by writer and reviewer Luis de la Paz. On Friday, June 19 at 7:00 pm Viernes de Tertulia will be stream live through the Miami Hispanic Cultural Arts Center’s Instagran and Facebook platforms with special guest Cuban writer Jose Abreu Felippe for the presentation of his new books “Morir por Tramos” and “Imperfecciones del Horizonte” by Luis de la Paz, from the publisher El Ataje.
