Vizcaya | Teen Environmental Council (VTEC)
Location: Vizcaya (3251 S Miami Ave, Miami, FL 33129)
Description: VTEC is a dynamic, teen-led program that empowers high school students to become changemakers in their communities through the lens of urban agriculture, sustainability, and environmental leadership. As ambassadors of Vizcaya, VTEC members will: Cultivate real-world skills in sustainable farming/ food systems, design and lead teen-focused experiences that promote environmental awareness, engage with the community through hands-on projects/ outreach, develop leadership/ teamwork abilities that extend beyond the garden
Requirements: Grades 10, 11, or 12. Complete an online application. Join one info session this summer

The Bass | Teen Board
Location: 2100 Collins Ave. Miami Beach, FL 33139
Short Description:The Bass Teen Board is a program in which teens can collaborate with peers to create teen-focused programming and exhibitions that intersect with the visual and performing arts. All Teen Board members receive one year of free admission to The Bass, behind-the-scenes access to the museum’s inner workings, and the opportunity to work directly with museum professionals.
Requirements: Ages 13-18, availability during the school year, attend all educational programs where we could use program support (Family Day, Annual Picnic, Camps, etc)

Perez Art Museum Miami | Teen Arts Council (PTAC)
Location: Perez Art Museum Miami (1103 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132)
Description: PTAC members help fulfill PAMM’s mission to encourage everyone to see art as an incentive for genuine human interaction, communication, and exchange. Through ambassadorship, mentorship, and teen advocacy, members plan museum events, lead public tours, interview artists, attend fieldtrips, take part in workshops, and much more. If accepted, participants receive 120 hours of community service and a yearly $800 stipend.
Requirements: This program is only for high school students and those interested in arts and culture. No portfolio needed. Application and interview required.

Adrienne Arsht Center | Student Ambassadors
Location: Adrienne Arsht Center (1300 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL 33132)
Description: The Student Ambassadors program is a yearlong leadership and arts engagement initiative for high school M-DC students. Student Ambassadors gain behind-the-scenes insight into how a major performing arts center operates, develop leadership and communication skills and build meaningful relationships with peers from diverse backgrounds. Through curated arts experiences, professional development workshops and mentorship opportunities, students grow as cultural leaders and active members of the South Florida arts community.

Institute of Contemporary Art | Young Artists Initiative (YAI)
Location: Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (61 NE 41st St., Miami, FL 33137)
Description: Young Artists Initiative is a selective youth arts development program for 10th-12th graders that connects young artists to the museum’s collection and local arts community; exploring a different theme or practice each year. Participants are encouraged to look critically at contemporary art practices and are provided with opportunities to work directly with leading artists and culminates with an exhibition of original artwork.
Requirements: Applications open to 10th to 12th graders. Portfolio required. Must be able to commit to attend classes at ICA Miami on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6pm.
Program Run Time: September 22, 2026 - March 18, 2027; exhibition: April 2027

Museum of Contemporary North Miami | Teen Art Force
Location: Museum of Contemporary Art (770 NE 125th St, North Miami, FL 33161)
Description: MOCA Teen Art Force is a one-of-a-kind, free,multidisciplinary art program that provides teens ages 13–17 with a foundation in the arts. Classes include a wide range of art techniques including design,drawing, sculpture, digital art and printmaking. Students also complete service projects, attend trips to art institutions, develop art portfolios, learn about the ins and outs of museums and have the opportunity to showcase their work at MOCA.
Requirements: Registrants must be 13-17 years old, a Miami-Dade resident, and must attend a minimum of 25 classes in order to receive their service hours for the program.
Program Run Time: Classes are held Monday - Friday from 3 - 6 PM during the school year

Hollywood Art and Culture Center | Arts Aspire

Short Description: The Arts Aspire Internship Program offers hands-on experience in artistic innovation and community engagement, connecting students with industry professionals to build workforce skills, gain experience, and explore career pathways.
Requirements: 10-12 grade students, Submit a completed application, Arts Aspire members must be willing to participate in monthly virtual and in-person meetings, and volunteer to assist during Arts Education programs, Complete group creative project

NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale | Teen Art Council
Location: NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale (One East Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
Short Description: The Teen Art Council (TAC) at NSU Art Museum embraces teens and empowers peers within the museum space by providing programming and support that enhances leadership skills, critical-thinking and developmental milestones for an emerging professional. By fostering a designated, incubated safe space for teens’ perspectives to convene, NSU Art Museum initiates lifelong relationships with the teen demographic. This program allows teens to have the opportunity to collaborate with peers to plan events, investigate exhibitions and discover the inner workings of the museum. Mission is to create spaces and programs for teen representation and bridge the gap between teenagers and NSU Art Museum.
Requirements:
Are a high school student in 9th – 12th grade.
Availability: During the school year, every 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from September through June from 4:30 – 6:30 PM.
Attend all TAC associated events and programs.
Approved consent from parent/guardian
Complete an application.

Norton Museum of Art | Teen Collective
Location: Norton Museum of Art (1450 S Dixie Hwy, West Palm Beach, FL 33401 (Palm Beach County))
Description: The Teen Collective Program is an enriching, paid opportunity for high school students across Palm Beach County to explore how museums engage diverse communities and foster cultural connections through art. Participants collaborate closely with museum staff, curators, and teaching and visiting artists while gaining hands-on experience in museum operations and public programming.
Requirements: Be a high school student (ages 16–18) in Palm Beach County. Be at least 16 years old by the start of the program
Program Run Time: September 11- April 23

Location: Mobile Program in Miami-Dade and Broward - pop-up events
Short Description: The Hive is a creative program for teens that brings hands-on workshops in art, music, media, and design to different spaces across Miami. It’s a place to try new things, build skills, and connect with other creative teens. We host a monthly Hive Hangout, a free drop-in event where you can move between creative stations, meet new people, and just hang out without pressure. We also offer transportation support, including ride vouchers when needed, so it is easier to show up. You can join The Hive as a member to stay connected through our group chat, get early access to events, and hear about opportunities like internships, open calls, and creative jobs. We also run weekly workshops at partner sites across Miami-Dade and Broward, so there are always ways to get involved and keep creating.
Requirements: Participants ages 12-19
Program Run Time: Hive Hangouts are the last Friday of the month and other events and opportunities throughout the year
Application Open and Close Date: Memberships are open sign up, teen council applications in Fall or as openings occur
