Volume 35 LIGHT Presented by PechaKucha Night Miami
PechaKucha Night, the Japanese art of concise presentations, returns to Miami January 30 with 11 local storytellers sharing their take on the theme of LIGHT at The Light Box at Goldman Warehouse in Wynwood. PechaKucha (Japanese for “chit chat”) is the world’s fastest-growing storytelling platform used by millions in more than 1,300 cities since its start in Tokyo in 2003. After a three-year absence, PechaKucha MIAMI is back with more amazing locals sharing visually compelling stories in less than 7 minutes. Speakers using PechaKucha’s 20x20 presentation format use 20 slides auto-advancing every 20 seconds to guide their way. On January 30, 11 presenters--ages 12 to 81--will interpret how LIGHT shapes their world. Deborah Magdalena, director and founder, Spoken Soul Festival, will emcee the evening.
