Rise Above Concert Extravaganza is a full-length concert presentation highlighting the Stilt Artistry of Black Immigrants. This engaging production incorporates aspects of folkloric and contemporary African masquerade, dance, music, storytelling poetry and song in a multi-media framework. The concert features the work of African and Caribbean Stilt masters, and both regional, national and international African and Caribbean drummers, dancers, folklorists and actors. The performance blends traditional and contemporary performing arts with innovative set, lighting, media, and both acoustic and recorded music. The Tall Spirit concert is a family friendly presentation for audiences of all ages that explores the sustained role of the stilt and drummer as wise protector, an example of communal resilience and bridge between new and old themes.

As part of its annual festival, IFE-ILE dancers and musicians will perform alongside guest dancers from the company Dance Heals of Philadelphia and the University of Texas at El Paso. The gala will include a varied and entertaining program that will include pieces of contemporary dance, rumba, orishas, and Cubaton among other styles.

CCBM invites you to the presentation of its spectacular Spring Gala Performance, "Le Corsaire Suite", Saturday, June 11 /8pm. at the Miami Dade County Auditorium, featuring Cuban Principal ballet stars, CCBM Corp de ballet, beautiful costumes and scenery. In this classic performance the CCBM will highlight excerpts from one of the most musical and visually exotic ballets of the 19th century. “Le Corsaire” is a tale of swashbucklers, Sultans, princesses, maidens and pirates, with a libretto based on the poem The Corsair by Lord Byron.

Dance Open America is delighted to announce that the Artistic Award 2022 for Excellence and Extraordinary Career will be presented to Ben Stevenson, Texas Ballet Theater's own artistic visionary and an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.), during the Grand Prix Gala on Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 at 8PM. This performance will include highlighted dancers from the competition and the presentation of, “Star Crossed”, by Ben Stevenson with its World Premiere having taken place on February 11, 2022. The audience will witness the love between two iconic characters in this simplified Romeo and Juliet story. Star Crossed is set to the Fantasy Overture from Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet score. Ben is one of the great storytellers of ballet and is known for creating splendor on stage. His choreography is both world-renowned and in high-demand across ballet companies world-wide. Dance Open America International Dance Competition is the new alternative that reveals a generation of talented dancers. The competition is a site to unite people from all cultures and ethnicities, and its mission is to allow dancers to become innovative artists with the motivation to reach their full potential. Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, under the direction of Ballet Master Vladimir Issaev ends its season with a classical repertoire that only high-quality dancers can perform. What happens when one of New York's iconic Modern Dance ensembles, the Limón Dance Company, joins forces with one of Florida's leading contemporary groups, Dance NOW! Miami? A powerful evening that will make local dance lovers swoon! The two companies will share the stage for Program III of Dance NOW's season on Saturday, May 14, at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. The program will include a collaboration between the two groups, along with pieces from each separately.

Ballet Flamenco La Rosa (https://balletflamencolarosa.com/) announces the World Premiere performance of En el Abismo, an original ‘flamenco ballet’ inspired by Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. The work was created and choregraphed by world-renowned master teacher, choreographer, soloist and BFLR Artistic Director Ilisa Rosal in collaboration with twenty dancers and musicians, including six top artists directly from Spain. World renowned musicians will create and perform original vocals and lyrics for the work. The story and characters expressed by the music and dance will come alive in a new and breathtaking way, adding another layer to this iconic work.

Brigid Baker Wholeproject presents Numinous Land, a dance event, and third section in a series, Return of the Bird Tribes. Numinous Land speaks of stewardship of the Earth and of regaining the dignity of materiality lost in a campaign to transcend nature- to conquer, to seperate ourselves, and to be mistaken about our place in the order of things. Land is grounding, is ground, is the temporal aspect of the invisible and reflects all creation.
