"As Miamense as Possible" Presented by Antiheroes Project and MDC's Koubek Center

Antiheroes Project, in collaboration with the MDC's Koubek Center presents As Miamense as possible, a program of three theatrical premieres , dramatic readings and a theoretical symposium.

The three featured plays were the winners of the As Miamense as Possible call for entries, open to Latinx playwrights under the age of 40 last year.
The winners are: Zizek en el Pantano," by Lilianne Lugo, directed by Boris Villar; "Al Amanecer," written and directed by Vianca Collazo; and "Lo Siento mi Español es Tremendo Mal," by Brandon Urrutia, directed by Israel García.

The first Saturday of the event will also include a colloquium on theater research and criticism in Miami, presented in collaboration with the Hispanic Theatrical Observatory and organized by Habey Hechavarría. On Saturday 25th, will take place the dramatic readings of other three pieces awarded with Honorable Mentions.
"The idea behind this call was to help revitalizing the performing arts in Miami, find new voices within playwriting and encourage dialogue on the topic of Miami identity. That's why we called it "As Miamense as Possible"
