Chopin for All - Mateusz Krzyżowski Presented by Chopin Foundation of the United States

Mateusz Krzyżowski is a young Polish pianist who won the first prize at the XII International Paderewski Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz in 2022. He also received the award for the best performance of Mozart's piano concerto. In 2021, he was a semi-finalist at the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw. Mateusz began his education in his hometown of Tychy, Poland, and he currently is a student at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in the class of Joanna Ławrynowicz-Just. He has worked with such ensembles as the Lublin Philharmonic, Sinfonia Juventus, Aukso Chamber Orchestra, and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, among many others. Presented with support from the Polish Cultural Institute, New York, the Chopin Foundation traditionally participates in an international artist exchange with the Paderewski Competition who in turn presents our young, American Chopin Competition winners. As a much sought-after artist performing concerts throughout Europe and the US, Mateusz makes his CHOPIN for ALL debut at our series’ grand finale.
