Join us on Saturday, October 9, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., at the Deering Estate in Miami for The Black Artist Talk: T.W.E.R.K., a conversation centering transnational dance works and practices that evokes revolutionary kinship.

This talk will be hosted by Artist-in-Residence, Michelle Grant-Murray with speaker Dr. Carole Boyce-Davies, Professor English and African Studies.

Light refreshments will be offered. Free & open to the public with limited seating.

The Black Artist Talk, a program developed by Michelle Grant Murray, is dedicated to engaging conversations with Black artists to discuss current events, the arts, dance making, pedagogy, social justice, his/hers-tory, futurism, and the here and now. The Black Artist Talk was first developed by Michelle Grant-Murray in 2016, as an Artist-in-Residence at the historic Deering Estate.
