Journey of the Heart is a dancecronology of the rhythmic experiences of young artists that deal with the woes and wonders of modern life experiences. The production will introduce two student-choreographed works and feature Ms. Eulyce Eason’s signature piece Dream in Color. Production includes featured performances by Serenity Arts Dance Academy.

Winds of Heritage (WOH) apprenticeship program offers quality pre-professional training, mentoring, workshops, fieldtrips, personal development, and performance opportunities for students ages 7-16 interested in progressing in dance. WOH dually operates as an in-house dance company at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center and carries a legacy of developing talented young dancers since its inception in 1984. The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center, part of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, was founded in 1975 to serve as the nesting ground for emerging talent in the performing and visual arts in the heart of Liberty City. By providing quality instruction, inspiration and encouragement to young people within the community, the Center has fulfilled its mission for almost 40 years, and everyday creates a means for youth to discover their artistic talents.
