Delou Africa, Inc. 8th Annual Concert Extravaganza

The festival Concert Extravaganza which is historically sold out will be held on Saturday, August 5th. During this time, Delou Africa Dance Ensemble (D.A.D.E.) will celebrate its 30th Anniversary. The celebration will feature world renowned native African dance artists and professional drummers/musicians.

Our diverse and talented local groups representing the Caribbean, United States and Africa, are Nancy St. Leger Danse Ensemble, Sikan Afro-Cuban Dance Project, Olujimi Dance Theatre, African Watoto (children’s) Dance Theatre, Venus Rising Women’s Drum & Dance Ensemble and Miami’s Premier Traditional West African Performing Arts Company Delou Africa Dance Ensemble.

Our MC will be South Florida’s one and only radio personality Jill Tracey from HOT 105 The Jill Tracey Show. In addition, Delou’s Cultural Community Outreach Development (CCOD) award ceremony will also be held during our Concert Extravaganza honoring two individuals who have made an impact in the arts and education in our community, Florene Nichols and Dr. Dorothy Bendross-Mindingal.

Immediately following the concert, there will be a Post-Concert Gala Reception and Fundraiser to benefit Delou Africa’s ongoing programs and events. Entertainment will include Fun Generation costume mask showcase for the 2017 Miami Broward One Carnival and DJ Mecca Rose. Refreshments and a cash bar will be available. 

Culture Shock Miami tickets are only for the concert extravaganza. A ticket will have to be purchased at the venue to attend the reception.
